Oil resistance festoon cable with PE/PUR/PVC Insulation

Oil Resistance Festoon Cable — PE / PUR / PVC Insulation Flexible Festoon Power Cable

Oil-resistant festoon cables are purpose-built flexible power and control cables for crane and conveyor festoon systems in environments where oil mist, coolant spray, hydraulic fluid, or lubricant contact is routine — steel mills, machine tool halls, automotive assembly lines, and food processing plants. Available with polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PUR), or PVC insulation and outer sheath options, each offering a different balance of oil resistance, flexibility, temperature performance, and cost.

All variants feature fine-wire or extra-fine-wire copper conductors for festoon-rated flexing cycles, rated 300/500V or 450/750V; 2 to 12 cores; 0.5 mm² to 25 mm²; flat or round construction to suit the festoon system design.

Key Design Features

  • Fine-wire or extra-fine-wire Class 5/6 copper conductors for festoon cycle life
  • PVC, PE, or PUR oil-resistant insulation — specify per application
  • Flat or round construction for festoon hangers or cable tracks
  • Rated 300/500V or 450/750V; ‑40°C to +90°C (PUR)
  • 2 to 12 cores; 0.5 mm² to 25 mm²
  • Optional shielded control cores in combined power/control versions
  • Flame-retardant outer sheath per IEC 60332-1

Typical Applications

  • Steel mill crane festoon systems with oil mist exposure
  • Automotive assembly line overhead conveyor festoon
  • Machine tool hall crane festoon with coolant splash
  • Food processing plant chain conveyor festoon cables
  • Paper mill overhead crane festoon in wet environments
  • Packaging machine cable track in oil-spray environments

Selection Guide

Choosing Between PVC, PE, and PUR

Select PVC for standard indoor festoon applications with light oil exposure and limited temperature range. Choose PE where chemical resistance and outdoor weather stability are required without the cost of PUR. Specify PUR wherever heavy continuous oil contact, severe abrasion, or wide temperature range (‑40°C to +90°C) is a requirement — PUR will deliver the longest service life in these conditions.
