This specialist flexible multicore elevator flat travel cable integrates shielded CAT5A twisted pairs for high-speed network communication alongside conventional power and control conductors — enabling a single cable to carry IP camera feeds, passenger infotainment, destination control system (DCS) data, and access control signals in modern high-rise and intelligent building lifts. Designed for lift speeds up to 6 m/s.
The CAT5A shielded pairs are individually foil-screened within the flat cable body, providing the 350 MHz bandwidth and crosstalk performance needed for reliable 1 Gbps Ethernet in the electrically noisy lift shaft environment. Extra-fine-wire Class 6 copper conductors ensure the data pairs maintain transmission performance through hundreds of millions of flex cycles. Rated 300/500V (power cores) and Cat5A (data pairs); temperature ‑30°C to +75°C.
| Circuit Type | Rating | Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Power cores | 300/500V | Up to 25 mm², 3-phase |
| Control cores | 300/500V | 0.75–1.5 mm² |
| CAT5A pairs | 350 MHz | 1 Gbps Ethernet, flexed |
CAT5A (350 MHz) is sufficient for 1 Gbps IP camera, intercom, and DCS data at lift shaft lengths up to 100 m. For future-proofing or 10 Gbps requirements, specify our CAT6 or CAT7 flex elevator cable variants. In all cases, individual pair shielding is essential in lift shafts to prevent VFD motor drive interference.
