Single core screened PVC flat cable

Single Core Screened PVC Flat Cable — Shielded Single Conductor Flat Cable

Single core screened PVC flat cables combine a single power or control conductor with an overall aluminium-polyester foil or copper braid screen in a flat cross-section profile — providing electromagnetic shielding for single-conductor power cables in applications where radiated emissions from the conductor could interfere with adjacent sensitive electronics. The flat profile enables clean installation in cable ducts, cable carriers, and machine panels where space is constrained.

These cables are used for earthing connections requiring shielded continuity, VFD output single-phase connections to shielded conduit, and measurement earth wiring in instrumentation panels. Rated 300/500V or 450/750V; conductor sizes 1.5 mm² to 35 mm²; temperature range ‑20°C to +70°C.

Selection Guide

Foil vs Braid Screen for Single Conductor Flat Cable

Foil screens are preferred for high-frequency EMC attenuation (>1 MHz) in instrumentation and signal applications. Copper braid screens are preferred for power applications where low-impedance fault current return path is required alongside EMC shielding. Specify your frequency range and grounding requirements for the optimal screen type.
