This flexible multicore flat travel cable integrates individually shielded twisted data pairs alongside conventional power and control conductors — enabling a single flat cable to deliver both power and high-integrity shielded data communications for modern elevator systems, crane automation, and smart factory equipment. The individually shielded twisted pairs prevent inter-pair crosstalk and provide effective EMI immunity in the electrically noisy environments typical of crane halls and lift shafts with variable-speed motor drives.
Available with CAT5e, CAT6, or proprietary shielded pair configurations; extra-fine-wire Class 6 copper conductors throughout; flat PVC or PUR outer sheath; rated power cores 300/500V or 0.6/1 kV; data pairs rated 300/500V; temperature ‑30°C to +80°C.
| Section | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Power cores | 300/500V or 0.6/1 kV | 0.75–25 mm², Class 6 |
| Control cores | 300/500V | 0.5–1.5 mm², Class 6 |
| Shielded data pairs | 300/500V, 100–350 MHz | Individual foil + drain wire |
For standard IP camera, intercom, and BMS integration, shielded CAT5e pairs (100 MHz) are sufficient. For destination control systems requiring 1 Gbps reliability over long lift shaft runs, specify CAT6 pairs (250 MHz). For 10 Gbps or future-proofing in high-rise installations, upgrade to CAT7 individually shielded pairs.
Provide us with your power load (kW and cable length), control I/O count, data communication protocol, and lift speed or crane cycle rate. We will design an optimised combined flat cable configuration that minimises the number of cables in your festoon or cable track system.
