Electric rubber-tyred gantry (E-RTG) cranes replace diesel generators with shore power — supplying power via a drum reeling cable as the crane travels along the container yard. The E-RTG cable must handle the full crane power demand over the complete travel distance, while the drum reeling system manages the cable during crane movement.
E-RTG cables are specified to the most demanding LV reeling performance class: 30 N/mm² tensile, 240 m/min travel speed (rubber version), anti-torsion braid, and GOST-R approval for projects in port markets requiring Russian standards. Bus cable or Profinet integration is available for real-time crane monitoring over the same reel cable.
