Extra flexible multi-core cable with PUR sheath for continuous flex applications. Class 6 fine-stranded conductors, oil resistant, drag chain and robotic arm rated. 300V or 0.6/1kV.
Extra flexible cables are designed for applications where standard flexible cables fail — continuous drag chain duty, robotic arm wiring, cable festoon systems, and any installation where the cable bends and unbends millions of times over its service life. The key to ultra-flex performance is the conductor construction: Class 6 extremely fine-stranded copper, where each conductor consists of hundreds of ultra-fine wires twisted together, giving a much smaller individual wire diameter and dramatically improved fatigue life compared to Class 5 standard flexible conductors.
The PUR (polyurethane) outer sheath provides oil, coolant, and abrasion resistance far superior to standard PVC — essential in machine tool and automation environments where cutting fluids, hydraulic oil, and mechanical contact are unavoidable.

Standard Class 5 flexible cable has conductors made of wires approximately 0.25mm in diameter. Class 6 uses wires of 0.08–0.12mm — the thinner the wire, the lower the bending stress at the outer fibre for a given bend radius, and the longer the fatigue life. In drag chain duty, Class 6 cables achieve 10× the flex life of Class 5 at the same bend radius.
PUR is significantly tougher than PVC in abrasion resistance — approximately 10× more abrasion resistant. In drag chain installations where the cable slides against the chain links with every cycle, PUR sheath integrity is maintained for the full cable service life.
