Single Core Power Cable — 0.6/1kV, 80°C, 6.0–300 mm²

Single core flexible power cables in the 6–300 mm² range are the workhorse of industrial power distribution — used for motor connections, busbar tails, switchgear internal wiring, and large load power supply runs where multi-core cables would be impractically large or heavy. The single-core format allows the three phases and neutral to be run as separate cables, each sized and routed independently, with the flexibility to handle the bending and installation forces of large cross-section wiring in panel and switchroom environments.

Fine-stranded Class 5 copper conductors provide the flexibility needed for installation in tight switchroom spaces, while the 80°C conductor temperature rating allows the full rated current to be drawn continuously in accordance with IEC 60364 installation rules.

Why Single Core for Large Cross-Sections

Installation Flexibility

A 3-core 150mm² cable has an overall diameter of approximately 55mm and weighs 20+ kg/m — impossible to pull through conduit or bend around panel corners. Three single-core 150mm² cables each weigh 7 kg/m and can be handled individually, then grouped in trefoil after installation.

Phase Balancing

Running three single-core cables in trefoil formation eliminates eddy current heating and reduces reactance compared to separate cables in flat formation — improving current capacity and power quality for large load connections.
