YSLCY EB PVC control cable for IS circuits with copper braid. 300V, 2–24 cores, 0.5–1.5 mm². Shield: Tinned copper braid ≥85% + IS rated. Shielded intrinsically safe circuit cable — for IS loops in hazardous areas wher
Shielded intrinsically safe circuit cable — for IS loops in hazardous areas where EMI screening is also required to prevent interference from nearby power circuits. The YSLCY EB designation is the German VDE standard type designation for this cable construction — widely recognised in industrial automation and panel building across Europe, Asia, and international OEM markets using IEC/VDE cable standards.
Available in 2–24 cores and 0.5–1.5 mm² cross-sections to cover the full range of control panel wiring applications. PVC insulation and sheath with colour-coded cores per IEC 60757.

Use YSLY where the cable runs in clean environments away from VFDs and heavy switching loads — building automation, relay panels, and PLC I/O in low-EMI areas. The unscreened construction is the most economical option.
The copper braid screen of YSLCY provides attenuation of external EMI fields. Required for control cable runs within 300mm of VFD output cables, or in the same cable tray as power cables in heavy industrial environments.
The EB variants have controlled capacitance and inductance per unit length — the cable entity parameters are low enough to allow use in intrinsically safe (IS) circuits in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas without exceeding the IS circuit energy limits. Always verify the cable parameters against the IS barrier/isolator entity parameters before use in hazardous areas.
