2YSLCYK PVC Composite Connection Cable with Copper Braiding + Steel Armour — XLPE Power + Screened + Armoured
The 2YSLCYK is the fully armoured composite connection cable — combining XLPE insulated power cores, PVC insulated screened control cores, tinned copper braid EMI screen, and a galvanised steel wire armour (K) layer under the final PVC outer sheath. The steel armour provides mechanical protection against crushing, impact, and rodent attack for composite cables routed in exposed or buried locations where standard PVC sheathed cables would be vulnerable to mechanical damage. The armoured construction also provides significant pull-through strength for long conduit runs and cable installations in areas with cable tray congestion. The complete layer structure: XLPE power conductors + PVC control conductors → collective copper braid screen → SWA steel wire armour → PVC outer sheath.
Key Design Features
- XLPE power cores + PVC control cores + copper braid screen + steel wire armour
- Four-layer protection for maximum mechanical and electrical performance
