The YSL11Y is a PUR (polyurethane) sheathed control cable providing the same multi-core control wiring functionality as the PVC YSLY series, with the superior mechanical properties of a polyurethane sheath — making it the preferred choice for control cables in dynamic, outdoor, and mechanically demanding applications where PVC sheath flexibility, abrasion resistance, and oil resistance are insufficient. The PUR sheath maintains flexibility at temperatures down to ‑40°C, resists abrasion five times better than PVC, and withstands mineral oil, hydraulic fluid, and many common industrial chemicals that degrade PVC over time. Rated 300V; available in 2–37 core, 0.5–2.5 mm² configurations; Class 5 or Class 6 flexible copper conductors available.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Voltage | 300V |
| Cores | 2–37 |
| Cross-sections | 0.5–2.5 mm² |
| Outer sheath | Polyurethane (PUR) |
| Temperature | ‑40°C to +90°C |
Specify PUR YSL11Y over PVC YSLY when: (1) the cable is in continuous dynamic flexing service (robot, festoon, drag chain); (2) ambient temperatures fall below ‑15°C (PVC becomes stiff and brittle); (3) the cable is exposed to oil, hydraulic fluid, or aggressive cleaning chemicals; or (4) abrasion from cable tray edges, cable carriers, or mechanical rubbing is present. For static or infrequently moved control wiring in clean, dry, temperate environments, YSLY PVC remains the most cost-effective choice.
