PUR Flexible Screened Servo Motor Power Cable
This PUR screened servo motor power cable is designed for the direct power connection from servo drive to servo motor — carrying the PWM-modulated output voltage of the drive inverter to the motor terminals. The cable must withstand the high dV/dt stress of modern IGBT servo drives (switching rates up to 16 kHz), resist the capacitive coupling currents that cause bearing currents, and flex continuously in drag chain without conductor fatigue.
The overall tinned copper braid provides a low-impedance return path for high-frequency common-mode currents, reducing EMI radiation from the servo power cable and protecting adjacent signal cables from interference.

Why Servo Power Cables Differ from Standard Flexible Cables
High dV/dt Resistance
Standard flexible cables have insulation designed for 50 Hz sinusoidal voltage. Servo drive PWM outputs apply voltage steps of 600–800V in under 100 ns — creating dV/dt values that accelerate partial discharge in non-servo-rated insulation, causing premature failure.
Symmetric Capacitance for Bearing Protection
An asymmetric cable construction creates unequal capacitance per phase, generating a net common-mode voltage that drives bearing currents. Symmetric three-phase construction equalises capacitance and minimises bearing current amplitude.
