CAN bus cable 1x4x0.34mm², 120 ohm characteristic impedance, foil and braid shielded twisted pair. Rated 60V. For CANopen, DeviceNet, and industrial machine control fieldbus networks.
This CAN bus cable is engineered for Controller Area Network (CAN) fieldbus systems including CANopen, DeviceNet, and automotive/industrial CAN networks. The 120-ohm characteristic impedance matches the CAN physical layer specification exactly, preventing signal reflections that cause data errors at higher bus speeds. The cable uses two individually foil-shielded twisted pairs with an overall tinned copper braid for maximum EMI immunity in industrial automation environments.
With 7×0.254 mm fine-stranded conductors (equivalent to AWG 22), this cable offers both flexibility for machine installation and low loop resistance for reliable signal transmission over bus lengths up to 1,000 m at 50 kbit/s.

CAN physical layer (ISO 11898-2) specifies 120 Ω line impedance. Using a cable with wrong impedance creates reflections that corrupt frames at bus speeds above 125 kbit/s — causing intermittent errors that are very hard to diagnose.
CAN-H and CAN-L are a differential pair. Tight, consistent twist pitch ensures both wires receive identical common-mode interference — which the differential receiver cancels completely, giving excellent noise immunity without optical isolation.
The combination of individual pair foil screen and overall braid achieves >90 dB shield effectiveness — essential when CAN cables run alongside servo drive power cables in the same cable duct.
