Our 1.5 mm² single core XLPO solar DC cable is TUV approved to EN 50618 (H1Z2Z2-K designation) and rated at 1500V DC — providing a lightweight, flexible solution for short string connections, jumper leads between adjacent panels, and module-level power electronics (MLPE) wiring where the current is low and cable flexibility is the primary requirement. The fine-wire Class 5 tinned copper conductor delivers exceptional flexibility for routing around panel frame edges and through narrow clip systems.

Despite its small cross-section, the XLPO insulation and sheath compound meets the same UV resistance, ozone resistance, and temperature ratings as larger solar cables — ensuring the full 25-year system lifetime performance specified in IEC 61730 Module Safety Qualification for balance-of-systems cables.

Connector Compatibility for 1.5 mm²

Standard MC4-compatible connectors are rated for 2.5–6 mm²; for 1.5 mm² cables, verify that your connector supplier provides a 1.5 mm² rated crimp pin and the correct crimp die. Using an oversized crimp die on 1.5 mm² conductor results in high contact resistance and potential arc fault risk — always use the correct crimping tool and pin combination specified by your connector manufacturer.
