Custom water-cooled PVC insulated welding cable in 15, 35, and 70mm² cross-sections. For high duty cycle MIG, submerged arc, and robotic welding where air-cooled cables overheat.
Water-cooled welding cables are essential for high duty cycle welding processes — robotic MIG, submerged arc, electroslag, and any automated welding application where the cable carries welding current continuously without the recovery time of manual welding. Air-cooled cables of equivalent cross-section overheat and fail rapidly under these conditions; water-cooled designs carry the heat away via a central cooling water channel, allowing indefinite continuous operation at full rated current.
Our custom water-cooled welding cables use PVC insulation over an extremely fine-stranded tinned copper conductor, with a central water channel running through the conductor bundle. Available in 15, 35, and 70 mm² cross-sections with custom lengths, water hose fittings, and lug terminations to suit the welding torch and power source.

Air-cooled welding cables are rated at 60% duty cycle for their nominal current. Water cooling removes the thermal limit entirely — the cable operates at full current continuously without needing recovery time between welds.
A water-cooled 35 mm² cable carries the same continuous current as an air-cooled 70 mm² cable — in half the diameter. This is critical for robotic torch cables where cable diameter directly limits the robot's range of motion.
Length, fitting type, lug size, and cross-section are all specified to order — ensuring the cable matches the torch, power source, and cable management system of the welding installation exactly.
